When the sun is shining, all is good in the world right? WRONG. Yes, its lovely to be able to go on summer holiday, see the sand and sea, frolic by the pool and feel that ocean breeze through your tousled wavy hair. However, lets get back to reality. For those of us lucky enough to get away in the sticky sweaty summer months and enjoy that sea breeze, realistically you're only going to be on holiday for max 2-3 weeks. The rest of the time you'll be stuck in the city, on public transport, walking those crowded streets with the rest of the sweat stained masses. Of course we can't forget about some of the summer perks, like the great dresses we get to wear and the ever on trend midi skirts that are ruling the streets this season. While skirts and dresses sound ideal in theory, in real life, a hot and sticky day is not always conducive to wearing such attire. That's right ladies, you know what i'm talking about: the dreaded thigh chafe.
I have been battling this silent killer (okay, I exaggerate a tad) for as long as I can remember. That means I've tried many, many, many, many, ways to battle the thigh chafe. Let's see, there was talcum powder, which helps for the first 20 mins, then you sweat it off and you're back to square one. Not to mention the whole cancer scare thing that has made me jump a mile from any talc products. There was also the "bandlettes" which are these stretchy bands you essentially wear around your upper thighs to prevent any contact. These were always super unhelpful, and always slipped down. So much so, I never actually left the house in them for the fear they would fall down in public.
While I've used other anti chafing gels and sticks, the consistency of the product was never right, with it either being too sticky, too runny, or not smooth at all. Then, there was Megababe Thigh Rescue, an anti chafing stick which has the most silky texture leaving your thighs dry, smooth and most importantly chafe free. I cannot stress enough how effective this product is. I've used it every time I've worn a skirt, dress and shorts this summer, and I've had no issues whatsoever. AND that's bearing in mind the heat wave we've had!
Megababe is the brainchild of entrepreneur and blogger supremo Katie Sturino, also known as The 12ish Style. With a mission to make women feel comfortable in their own skin, and to find solutions to issues that we have somehow made taboo to talk about. Not only are the products effective, they are non-toxic. Thigh Rescue is not the only god send, Megababe has made Bust Dust which is a god send for that sweaty underboob issue that so many women struggle with, not only in the summer. Another product which has turned the health and beauty industry on its head is Rosy Pits Deodorant. It has an almost 10,000 person waiting list! Rosy Pits is one of the only deodorants on the market that is completely aluminium and paraben free, giving your pits some TLC.
